With the call number 116117 you can reach the patient service with the medical on-call service around the clock - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is only available in German.
Medical help in the evening, on weekends and public holidays:
Medical practices are the main point of contact when you are ill or have other health problems. If you need medical help outside standard medical practice consulting hours, doctors on call will attend to you. You can visit an on-call practice for this. It is not necessary to go to a hospital or an emergency room.
If a situation is life-threatening or there is a risk of permanent injury, please call the emergency number 112.
The medical on-call service is helpful when these three conditions are met:
- Doctor’s practices are closed,
- You need medical help today.
- The situation is not life-threatening.
English speaking medical practices
You can consult a physician in a practice usually from Monday to Friday. There you will receive treatment and, if necessary, prescriptions for your medication.
